Privacy Policy

How MetaErase handles local photos, technical website data, optional analytics and support requests.

Last updated: 2026-11-07

Photo processing

The photo cleaner runs in your browser. Selected image bytes, filenames and extracted metadata are used locally to inspect files and prepare downloads. They are not uploaded by the cleaner. Working copies remain in browser memory until you remove them or leave the page. Downloaded files remain wherever you save them.

Website delivery

Our hosting service processes technical request information needed to deliver and protect the website, such as IP addresses, request paths and browser headers. This is separate from local image processing.

Analytics and cookies

When analytics is enabled and you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics measures page visits and tool events such as successful processing, errors and downloads. We do not send selected filenames, photo contents, GPS coordinates or extracted metadata in these events. Use Cookie settings in the footer to change your choice. Essential preferences and authenticated administration may use their own cookies.

Support

Email sent to support@metaerase.com is forwarded to the operator's support inbox. It may include your email address and information you choose to provide. Share only the details needed to resolve your issue. Avoid sending private originals or sensitive metadata. Support correspondence is used to answer requests and investigate issues.

Your choices

You can use the cleaner without creating an account, decline optional analytics, clear browser storage, and request access to or deletion of support correspondence by emailing support. The operator will assess requests based on the information held and applicable requirements.
